Silverjet saw a significant increase in passenger traffic during the month of December, it has been announced.
The
business-only carrier said that passenger traffic rose by 10.5 per cent last month compared with November and by 77 per cent compared with August.
It stated that it has also seen a "strong" level of advance bookings for its
business class flights to Dubai and
New York, while the number of passengers returning to fly with
Silverjet has experienced an increase in recent weeks.
"Silverjet is in a very strong position, not only with our superior service in terms of our 30-minute check-in, flat bed and private jet experience, but also our financial position having just raised a further £22 million of investment to fund our growth," Silverjet chief executive Lawrence Hunt commented.
Last month, the carrier announced that it had formed an agreement to buy two long-range aircraft, which could be used on routes to destinations such as
Delhi and
Shanghai.
