Planned strikes that would have caused disruption at BAA's seven UK airports on three occasions this month have been averted.
The industrial action by members of the Unite union had been planned to take place over 24 hours on January 7th and 14th and over 48 hours on January 17th.
However, negotiations between BAA and the union have resulted in officials voting to call off the strikes, according to the BBC. The action on January 7th had already been cancelled following talks on December 31st.
"Following a productive discussion on December 31st, BAA and the trade unions have reached an agreement in principle," a spokesperson for BAA said at the time.
