Edinburgh-Atlanta flights resumed
Delta Air Lines has announced that it is to resume its route between Edinburgh Airport and Atlanta this summer.
The non-stop daily flights will begin on June 2nd and will operate until October 1st, adding to the carrier's route between Edinburgh and New York, which will launch on May 1st.
These new Boeing 767-200 flights will take off from Edinburgh at 11:50 BST, landing in Atlanta at 15:40 local time. Other new routes planned for 2008 by Delta include new flights from Heathrow Airport to Atlanta.
"Delta looks forward to another record year of international traffic via our Atlanta hub, thanks to the addition of more new destinations around the globe for our customers," commented Bob Cortelyou, senior vice president of network planning for Delta.
Last month, the carrier announced a new non-stop route between Heathrow Airport and Los Angeles, jointly operated with Air France, which will begin in April this year.
