Silverjet is currently looking at plans to establish a franchise based in
Dubai, it has emerged.
Speaking to Zawya Dow Jones, Lawrence Hunt, chief executive of the
business class airline, said the company was considering setting up a franchise to further expand its operations and put on extra flights to destinations in
Europe, the
USA and Asia.
The news comes after the carrier launched new
business class flights to Dubai from
Luton Airport in November last year, which received "an incredible response" from passengers, according to Mr Hunt.
He said in the interview with Zawya Dow Jones that if the company manages to raise the necessary funds, the
Dubai franchise could be up and running within the next six months.
Silverjet also flies to
New York from Luton Airport and is to receive two extra extended range aircraft this year - which could result in the airline adding more flights to its schedule.
