Holidaymakers intending to head to
Melbourne this spring might want to check out one of the city's most popular festivals.
The Moomba Waterfest will take place between March 7th and 10th this year and will bring tens of thousands of performers to Melbourne for a riotous four-day family festival that is completely free of charge.
Live music performances, fireworks displays, carnival rides, parades and sporting contests - including the Moomba Masters International Water Ski Championships - will all provide entertainment during the event.
The festivities will take place along the Yarra River, Birrarung Marr, while a one-day spectacular will also be held at Melbourne Docklands, offering concerts, watersports, street performances and even electric bathtub races.
Of course, there's more to
Melbourne than this festival - why not take the opportunity to explore the city's galleries, boutiques and exhibitions for an extra dose of Australian culture?

City of Melbourne website.
