Passengers taking a first or
business class flight with
Emirates may soon be able to take advantage of new massage facilities at its worldwide lounges.
The airline has announced that it has struck a deal with supplier OSIM to extend the rollout of massage chairs from the Emirates Lounge in
Singapore - which was fitted with the chairs last year - to its lounge facilities in other
global airports over the next few months.
In the UK, the carrier currently has lounges at
Heathrow and
Gatwick airports, while also operating similar facilities in worldwide hubs such as
Bangkok,
New York and
Paris.
"Emirates lounges around the world are designed to provide a luxurious sanctuary for our premium customers and we are delighted to partner with OSIM to add another dimension to this comfort by offering complimentary massage to relax and refresh our passengers who are in transit or waiting to embark on their journeys," commented Dale Griffith of
Emirates.
The airline's lounges offer facilities such as
gourmet refreshments, large plasma screen televisions, showers and broadband workstations.
