Passengers hoping to try out the new
Airbus A380 aircraft will soon have an opportunity to do so from the UK.
Singapore Airlines has announced that it is to use the massive plane - currently the biggest commercial passenger aircraft in the world - on its route between
Heathrow Airport and
Singapore from March 18th this year.
The launch will come after the carrier receives its third A380 plane, with the first flight leaving at 09:00 local time from
Singapore, landing in
London at 15:05 GMT.
Meanwhile, the return flight will depart at 18:55 GMT, landing in
Singapore at 15:35 local time. Passengers onboard the very first flight will receive certificates marking the occasion and will be able to take advantage of numerous giveaways.
"With the addition of London as the second A380 destination, more of our customers can now enjoy the award-winning cabin products, enhanced inflight entertainment and renowned Singapore Airlines service," commented Huang Cheng Eng of Singapore Airlines.
Passengers who have already booked seats on the route for departure on or after the launch date and have received their tickets will be automatically transferred to the A380 aircraft.
Singapore Airlines received its second A380 aircraft, which will be used in addition to the first plane on its route between Singapore and
Sydney, earlier this month.
