Passengers travelling
long-haul with
SAS can now take advantage of an improved
premium economy cabin.
Known as Economy Extra, the cabin now boasts a dedicated crew and a revamped menu, among other features.
Flyers can expect to sample meals with much improved ingredients, as well as choose from a range of brand new starters and desserts and benefit from a bigger second meal service.
Other features of the cabin include business class check-in, bigger seats than those seen in economy class, priority boarding, a larger baggage allowance and fast-track security services.
"Economy Extra is a unique selling point for SAS and is a service class that attracts both business travellers and leisure travellers wanting an alternative to economy," commented Lars Sandahl Sorensen, chief executive of
SAS.
Last week, the carrier announced the introduction of a new
biometric security service whereby passengers passing through
Stockholm Arlanda and Landvetter airports provide fingerprints at check-in that are verified again when boarding for the flight commences.
