Top airlines scoop inflight wine awards
The winners of the 2007 Cellars in the Sky Awards have been announced by Business Traveller magazine.

Celebrating the best wines and champagnes served to passengers onboard flights, the ceremony in London saw Air France and Air New Zealand win the awards for best white and red wine onboard business class flights respectively.

Singapore Airlines and Qantas jointly won the best business class sparkling drink title, while El Al scooped the best first class white wine award and Qatar Airways won the equivalent accolade for red wine.

Overall, Qantas came out on top, winning prizes for the best consistency of wines across both business and first class.

"This year's competition came up with some great individual winning wines and showed that an increasing number of carriers have realised that a good wine offering is one of the important points of difference between them and their rivals," commented Charles Metcalfe of the International Wine Challenge.

British Airways was voted best airline in the 2007 Business Traveller Awards last year.
