Qatar Airways has announced that it is to increase the number of flights it operates between
Heathrow Airport and
Doha.
The carrier said the route will see four flights a day from March 30th, with the extra service taking off from
London at 07:55 BST and landing in the Qatari capital at 16:50 local time.
Seats will be available in first, business and economy class cabins. Qatar Airways also operates flights from
Manchester and
Gatwick airports.
"We are delighted to be adding capacity on what is an extremely popular route with both business and leisure travellers," commented Akbar Al Baker, chief executive of
Qatar Airways.
Doha is home to a variety of attractions, sights and activities, including various forts of historical interest, camel racing, water sports facilities and beaches.
More than 80 per cent of the population of
Qatar live in the city, which was founded in 1850.
