Flights hit by air controller strike

Flights hit by air controller strike
Certain flights to and from Orly Airport in Paris have been affected by strike action on the part of French air traffic controllers.

Air France said that some of its short-haul flights have had to be cancelled as a result of the action, which is taking place until February 15th.

It is currently operating about 40 per cent of its short and medium-haul services to and from the airport, while its flights through Charles de Gaulle Airport are expected to run as normal, albeit with some delays of up to one hour, according to the Press Association.

All of Air France's scheduled long-haul services will continue to operate from both Paris airports - with delays - in addition to those to Corsica.

Passengers who believe they may be affected by the strike should get in touch with the relevant airline for more details, according to the French civil aviation authority.
