Eos Airlines has announced that it is to launch new flights from
Stansted Airport to
Dubai and
New York later this year.
The new
Dubai route will begin on July 6th and will fly daily, while the
flights to New York Newark will start on May 5th.
Currently, the
premium airline carries one in nine business class flyers between
London and JFK Airport in
New York.
"Our community includes many guests and investors from the Gulf region who feel that Dubai and Eos are a perfect fit," remarked Jack Williams, president and chief executive officer of
Eos Airlines.
"In addition, our corporate and leisure travellers based in New Jersey have told us they are eagerly anticipating our route between Newark and London Stansted."
The new flights have been welcomed by officials at
Stansted, with business development and planning director Nick Barton stating that the services represent another step forward in the airport's expansion of its long-haul routes.
Eos Airlines will join
Silverjet in the provision of exclusively
business class flights to Dubai and
New York from the south-east once the new routes have launched.
