A new survey has revealed that most travellers believe
Virgin Atlantic to be the best carrier when it comes to serving the needs of those with kids.
The poll, carried out by Rough Guides, found that 36 per cent think Virgin is the most
child-friendly airline, with 32 per cent voting for
British Airways.
Parents most worry about being able to pack everything needed for a holiday when travelling with small children, as well as carrying their luggage to and from the airport, the study also indicated.
Fawzia Rasheed de Francisco of Rough Guides remarked that this is a requirement some budget airlines are unable to cope with.
"Aside from baggage restrictions, budget airlines tend to be allocated inconvenient gates in airports, involving walking long distances, negotiating stairs and buses, etc - tough going with small children," she commented.
Virgin provides Skycots for babies under the age of 12 months and Infant Care Chairs for those aged up to 36 months.
It also offers child-specific
inflight entertainment and menus, as well as extra help for children travelling alone.
