Silverjet has said that it expects demand for its
business class flights to Dubai to rise in line with predicted tourism growth in the city.
Citing Fast Future's latest report on the Middle Eastern tourism market, the
premium-only airline suggested that the growth forecast for the region could boost traffic on its route between
London and
Dubai.
It said it anticipates taking advantage of development work that will see airport capacity in the
Middle East expand to 320 million flyers a year.
"More growth in high-end traffic in and out of Dubai should mean more traffic for Silverjet into the future," Lawrence Hunt, chief executive of
Silverjet, commented.
The
Dubai route was first launched in November last year.
Eos Airlines recently announced plans to launch new
business class flights to New York in May and to Dubai in July from its base at
Stansted Airport.
