Travellers will soon be able to take advantage of extra flights to the Russian exclave of
Kaliningrad.
KD avia has announced that it is increasing the number of services it operates on its route between
Gatwick Airport and Kaliningrad to a daily frequency throughout the summer.
The flights will take off from
London at 17:15 BST, landing in Kaliningrad at 21:34 local time. From there, passengers will be able make use of connections to further destinations in Russia and
Kazakhstan.
"This is great news for both business and leisure travellers to Russia," commented Loreta Durrell, UK sales manager for KD avia.
"Traffic has grown to all our 12 destinations since our launch in June last year."
Kaliningrad is situated on the Baltic Sea between
Poland and
Lithuania. It is home to sights such as Konigsberg Cathedral, Kaliningrad Zoo, the Sackheim Gate and various forts.
