Travellers planning on driving to
Manchester Airport over the next few weeks have been advised that road access to Terminals 1 and 3 has temporarily changed.
Work is underway to add an extra platform to the airport's railway station and as a result Outwood Lane, which is the main access road to Terminals 1 and 3, is closed until March 3rd.
Diversions are in place for road users, however, and no "major disruption" is expected, said Bob Longworth of Manchester Airport.
"However, the morning and evening peak periods are always busy so we are advising people to leave a little extra time for the trip," he added.
Last month, the
airport unveiled a new valet parking service for those driving to Terminals 1 and 3.
Passengers can leave their cars with valet staff in a special enclosure to be driven to a secure car park.
