Seoul airport top for service quality
Incheon International Airport in Seoul has topped a list of the best worldwide hubs as measured by quality of service.
Compiled by Airports Council International (ACI), the list also has Kuala Lumpur International Airport in second place and Changi Airport in Singapore in third.
On a regional basis, Oporto Airport in Portugal was ranked the best in Europe, while Dallas Fort Worth Airport won the North American prize and Johannesburg Airport received the African award.
In the UK, Southampton Airport received one of the ACI's "airport people" awards, which recognise excellent customer service.
"At Incheon, the management team takes pride in delivering quality airport service and sees it as being part of the overall tourism value chain - good for their airport and their nation," commented ACI programme director Craig Bradbrook.
Incheon International Airport is the main base for Korean Air and Asiana Airlines, both of which operate flights to Seoul from the UK.
