Flights from the UK are continuing to be affected by the ongoing severe weather conditions.
Heathrow Airport has seen more than 20 flights cancelled so far today (March 12th), mostly
domestic and short-haul services, the Times reports.
Meanwhile,
Birmingham Airport has had to cancel five flights while others have been delayed. Five services have also been cancelled at
Leeds-Bradford Airport, with
Manchester Airport seeing just one cancellation.
Passengers planning to travel today should check with the relevant airline or airport to see whether their flights are still running in the face of the bad weather.
Rail, ferry and road services are also experiencing disruption as a result of the gale force winds this week.
According to the Met Office, gales of up to 80mph are expected to hit the UK today, with Northern Ireland, northern and eastern England, north Wales and the Midlands set to bear the brunt of the storm.
