German airline
Lufthansa has opened its new passenger area at
Frankfurt Airport.
Travellers flying first class to the city will now be able to take advantage of the new Senator Lounge, which offers spectacular views of the airport apron.
All first and
business class flyers will also be able to access lounge-style services at the new Priority Gates, including easy chairs, Wi-Fi and bistros.
New seating and refreshment facilities have also been installed for economy class passengers, while the gate area has been revamped to prepare for the arrival of the first
Airbus A380 aircraft at the
hub. This means that flyers will be able to directly board the twin-deck plane from two separate levels.
"The new and exclusive Lufthansa gate area located on two levels is unique, worldwide," commented Karl Ulrich Garnadt of
Lufthansa.
"Even before the first A380 enters service with the Lufthansa fleet, we are already laying on more space and comfort for passengers prior to flight departure."
Lufthansa will launch a new service between
Bristol and
Frankfurt on March 31st.
