Air passengers get most annoyed at the behaviour of their fellow travellers on flights, according to new research.
Nearly half of respondents to the survey by thetravelmagazine.net cited instances when the passenger sitting in front reclines their seat as their top travel gripe.
A fifth of these were flyers who get particularly irked when the person in front reclines their seat before they are able to finish a
meal.
Other annoyances listed by passengers included fellow flyers kicking or pushing their seat from behind and having their personal space invaded by the traveller sitting next to them.
"Better designed inflight seating would solve the problem," commented Sharron Livingston of thetravelmagazine.net.
"But until then I think travellers are crying out for some good old fashioned manners during flights - otherwise we could risk an increase in air rage."
Travellers who tend to get annoyed by other people's mobile phone ringtones on trains and buses might soon find another cause for complaint on flights after regulator Ofcom put forward plans to enable airlines to roll out
inflight mobile services for passengers earlier this week.
