British Airways 'operating most T5 flights'
British Airways has said it will operate most of its flights to and from Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport over the course of this week.
In its latest update, the airline announced that it hopes to run at least 92 per cent of all of its services by Thursday April 3rd. All long-haul flights are operating as normal, while cancellations have hit domestic and European services.
The carrier said that 342 of 392 flights are running as scheduled today and tomorrow, while 364 of 396 flights will take off and land on Thursday. On Friday British Airways expects to run 360 out of a total of 394 scheduled flights to and from the facility.
Passengers will be able to check in with hold and hand luggage as normal, but the airline is still manually processing delayed bags, which it says will take a few days. Flyers are urged to contact the airline for more information on affected flights.
The cancelled flights are helping to ease queues and congestion at Terminal 5, according to the Press Association.
