Holidaymakers hoping to travel on a first or
business class flight to Brisbane with
Emirates in the future may be interested to read that the airline has opened a groundbreaking new lounge at the city's airport.
The facility offers a 360-degree view of the hub and its surroundings, as well as enabling passengers to directly board their flight from the
lounge - a first for airports in
Australia.
Flyers will also be able to board flights operated by the new
Airbus A380 superjumbo directly from the lounge, with access to both decks available.
The lounge itself is capable of seating 172 passengers and comprises a lounge area, dining zone and business centre, with features including massage chairs, flat-screen televisions and designer bathrooms, as well as complimentary gourmet food.
Queensland tourism minister Desley Boyle commented: "The lounge is another important investment by Emirates in Brisbane and Queensland and is a cornerstone of the airport redevelopment.
"It will provide the international level of comfort and service expected by business travellers from across the world."
Last month,
Emirates announced plans to use the Airbus A380 on its route between
London and
Dubai from December 1st.
