A route linking
Aberdeen and the Danish city of
Esbjerg has hit its 20th anniversary.
Operated by
bmi under its bmi regional brand, the flights first started up in April 1988 and now take place six days a week.
Esbjerg is a harbour city located on the western coast of mainland
Denmark. While it is a particular popular destination for business travellers, the region is also becoming increasingly attractive to leisure holidaymakers.
The city is home to numerous museums, as well as the spectacular Esbjerg Water Tower and the nine-metre high Man Meets the Sea sculpture, which comprises four seated white concrete men facing the sea and is one of the metropolis's most striking artistic monuments.
"I am extremely proud that bmi regional has provided such a consistent service between Scotland and Denmark over the past 20 years, an important link for the oil sector and leisure markets," commented Stewart Adams of bmi regional.
