Fancy a
boozy excuse to visit Japan's capital? Head to
Tokyo next month and make sure you catch the city's Great Japan Beer Festival, organised by the Japan Craft Beer Association.
This popular event takes place on May 5th and 6th at the Ebisu Gerden Hall and sees more than 120 beers available for sampling, including the proud winner of the Japan Beer Cup.
Attendees only have to pay an entrance fee to be able to taste any of these micro-brewed beers, which come from both local and international locations.
Some 120,000 beer fans flock to
Tokyo for the festival every year, making this one of the most popular events on the city's calendar.
Of course, beer isn't the only much-loved drink in
Japan - the traditional Japanese beverage of sake attracts its own celebrations both in its native country and around the world.

Great Japan Beer Festival website.
