Bookworms looking for the perfect literature-themed summer getaway might want to catch a
flight to Dublin for one of its most popular festivals.
The Dublin Writers Festival will take place between June 11th and 15th at the Project Arts Centre in Temple Bar and other venues, and celebrates everything related to Irish writing through numerous readings, interviews, discussions and debates.
Authors set to appear at this year's festival include JP Dunleavy, Tobias Wolff, Anne Enright, Helon Habila, Marion Keyes, Sebastian Barry and John Boyne.
The winner of the IMPAC Dublin Literary Award will also be announced at the event. Last year saw Per Petterson scoop the prize, with writers shortlisted for 2008's accolade including Patrick McCabe and Javier Cercas.
Temple Bar is one of the most popular attractions for tourists in
Dublin and is known as the city's cultural quarter. The area is home to numerous pubs, bars and markets and stages a variety of festivals every year.

Dublin Writers Festival website for more information.
