LOT Polish Airlines has become the only carrier to run flights between
Heathrow Airport and
Warsaw.
With
British Airways moving its
Warsaw flights to
Gatwick Airport, the Polish airline is now the only carrier on the route, running three services a day between the two capital
cities.
LOT Polish has also recently launched new
flights to Beijing from Warsaw, offering a potential connection for Britons intending to travel to the Olympic Games in August.
"Heathrow remains the first choice departure airport for business travellers and we therefore anticipate continuing traffic growth on our Warsaw flights from London," commented LOT Polish UK and Ireland regional director Slawomir Noszczak.
Travellers to Warsaw can take in attractions such as the Royal Castle, St John's Cathedral, the Saxon Gardens and the Grand Theatre.
The city also hosts events such as the summer Mozart Festival and the International Street Arts Festival.
