Families looking for the perfect summer holiday destination have a variety of places to choose from.
According to Forbes, locations as diverse as
Spain, Hawaii, Wyoming,
Costa Rica and
New York are likely to prove popular with both parents and children this year.
In Spain, families can entertain themselves at the PortAventura theme park in Salou or the quieter Mas Passamaner resort some 25 miles away.
Elsewhere, the Mauna Lani Resort on the Kohala Coast in Hawaii is perfect for parents looking to keep their kids busy, Forbes says.
The Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming is ideal for those wanting to encourage their children to be more active, as is Costa Rica, while
New York provides an interesting educational experience for kids through its various museums, according to the magazine.
A spokesperson for the Association of Independent Tour Operators recently said that Britons are increasingly viewing annual holidays as an essential part of their lives rather than a luxurious bonus.
