Film stars flock to Sydney for new awards
A host of film stars from Australia and around the world are set to make an appearance at the inaugural Official Competition Awards at the Sydney Film Festival next month.

etbMICE.com reported today (May 15th) that the event - which will be held under the sails of the magnificent Sydney Opera House - is set to attract a "who's who of the Australian and international film industry".

The event is part of the celebrations taking place during the Sydney Film Festival, which may be of interest to film buffs planning to grab a flight to Sydney in June.

Now in its 55th year, the festival's official competition is set to screen 12 films from around the world, including UK offering Happy-Go-Lucky, as well as Canadian film My Winnipeg and Three Blind Mice, which was made in Australia.

Visitors to Sydney may also be interested in checking out the Art Gallery of New South Wales, as well as the city's bustling Chinatown.
