Just the Flight: cheap flight reservations and airline tickets at bargain fares for scheduled and last minute charter flights from the UK and Europe

Flyers urged to take on airlines

Flyers urged to take on airlines
Air passengers who are dissatisfied with flight charges should "act with their feet" and switch carriers, according to one expert.

Flyers who are unhappy with hidden costs such as luggage fees should do more to get airline executives to sit up and take notice, Peter Morris of aviation consultancy Ascend commented.

If enough people switch airlines over high costs, the situation is more likely to be noted and acted upon, he added.

The comments follow a report from Holiday Which? released in January, which suggested that flights with some budget carriers may cost up to £28 more than the price that is advertised.

"Ultimately, if you confuse people or appear to mislead them then they will vote with their feet and they will go somewhere else," Mr Morris stated.

According to the Warwickshire County Council Trading Standards Service, low-cost flights can cost over a third more than those with traditional airlines.
