Families considering a holiday in
Thailand this year have been offered a number of tips on how to make the most of their break.
According to the New Zealand Herald,
families can save money by booking excursions and tours after arriving in Thailand rather than booking ahead.
When buying clothes, holidaymakers are advised to visit local tailors, as this can prove to be cheaper and can result in garments with a better fit compared with the alternatives, the newspaper states.
In terms of activities, snorkelling has much to offer families, while the best way to experience Thailand's unique atmosphere is to walk rather than take transport, it recommends.
Conducting research in good time before the holiday and employing the services of a local guide at the start of a trip can also make all the difference when it comes to choosing the best time to go and getting to grips with the most worthy places to visit, the New Zealand Herald adds.
One Thailand holiday that could be perfect for families involves
flying to Bangkok and exploring the city via tuk-tuk - otherwise known as a rickshaw - before heading to locations such as Erawan National Park and historical Ayutthaya, according to the Guardian.
