flying to Kiev from
Gatwick Airport can now choose from more flights to the Ukrainian capital.
Ukraine International Airlines has announced that it will launch three new flights to the city from June 18th, taking the total number of non-stop services to
Kiev to ten a week.
Passengers can take advantage of the new afternoon flights to catch same-day connections to cities such as
Simferopol and Lviv.
Peter Sherman, UK and Ireland sales and marketing manager for Ukraine International Airlines, said that the carrier had seen demand for flights to Kiev soar by 36 per cent in the past 12 months.
"Kiev is a progressively important commercial hub, and is developing a strong presence in the meeting and incentive market," he commented, according to just4airlines.
"The city is also becoming a popular choice for short breaks with a unique cultural offering and exciting new hotels at value for money prices."
Some of Kiev's most popular attractions include the St Sophia Cathedral, the Kiev Pechersk Lavra and Mariyinsky Palace.
