Flybe has completed the installation of three self-service electronic check-in kiosks at
Cardiff Airport.
The airline said that it is the first carrier to invest in this
technology at the Welsh hub, a fact it claimed is demonstrative of its "commitment to customer service" at Cardiff Airport.
Flybe's decision to invest in the self-service kiosks was part of an initiative to direct passengers through the most cost-effective check-in channels and also provide more choice and convenience for travellers.
Some 40 per cent of the airline's passengers throughout the UK already use electronic check-in facilities.
Simon Lilley, director of marketing for Flybe, said: "We are committed to getting the millions of passengers we carry each year through the check-in process as quickly and efficiently as possible.
"These machines minimise queuing and really do speed things up, allowing our passengers to better enjoy their travel experience with Flybe."
UK travellers can catch flights to a number of destinations from Cardiff Airport, including
Dubai,
New York and
Paris.
