Atlantis, the new hotel and tourism development located at the head of the Palm Jumeirah island in
Dubai, is set to open on schedule, according to reports.
The $1.5 billion (£756 million) project is on track to open on September 24th, officials said.
Visitors to Atlantis will enjoy views stretching out across the Gulf and along the spine of the Palm Jumeirah back to
Dubai.
The complex will also include the Aquaventure water park and the Dolphin Bay wildlife centre.
Some 1,539 rooms will be available in the hotel, including 150 suites, two presidential suites and 35 regal suites, Gulf News reports.
Deep-pocketed visitors may be interested in the 924-square-metre Bridge Suite – the connecting bridge between the hotel's east and west towers, which will cost a mere $25,000 (£12,600) per night.
According to Jim Boocher, president of development at Kerzner International, managers of Atlantis, the new complex is a "destination hotel", rather than simply a provider of accommodation, something that differentiates it from other hotels.
