People planning festive trips to
Germany this year can decide in advance which
Christmas markets they want to visit with the help of a new brochure.
The guide released by the national tourist office includes 40 pages of information helping tourists plan out their Christmas trip to Germany.
Every major market in the country is listed in the brochure, as well as other attractions and additional information on interesting locations such as markets that are based in castles.
Germany's famous Christmas markets are traditionally opened on the last weekend in November as part of an event that officially inaugurates the country's festive season.
The biggest market of all, as well as the world's largest Christmas tree, can be found in Dortmund in the west, while in
Berlin tourists can choose from 50 different markets.
People planning trips to Germany this Christmas can order the brochure online on the country's
tourist board website.
