Finnair has announced that its Silver Wings lounge has been reopened at
Helsinki Airport.
The lounge, which is based in the Schengen area of the airport, has been relaunched following redecoration work over the summer.
Located above the departure gates 26 and 26a, the facility is Finnair's biggest lounge in the Schengen area, with 86 customer seats.
It is now more spacious than before, with interior design elements intended to emphasise the "core values" of the Finnair brand – freshness, creativity, security and Finnishness.
Another of the airline's aims with its new lounge is to improve customer friendliness.
Finnair Plus concept and service manager Leena Muesa said: "Apart from its new look, the service points of the Silver Wings lounge have been spread out and the division of space is now clear and logical: while waiting for a flight, passengers can enjoy an espresso in the cafe area, relax in the armchairs or by the bar tables follow aircraft taking off to Europe."
The Silver Wings lounge is expected to cater for around 6,500 passengers travelling to and from the capital of
Finland every month.
