British Airways has announced that it is to open its sixth lounge at
Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 next week.
The Galleries lounge in the terminal's satellite B building will be operational from Wednesday September 17th.
People catching British Airways flights from Terminal 5 B from this date will be able to go straight to the facility after passing through ticket presentation and security points.
The Galleries lounge will be open to customers travelling in first class, Club World and Club Europe cabin passengers and members of British Airways' Gold and Silver executive clubs.
Facilities at the new lounge include a bar and wine gallery, work and entertainment zones, a shower suite, an Elemis travel spa and a kids' area.
British Airways has invested some £60 million in its Terminal 5 lounges. The airline claims that the satellite B Galleries lounge has been fitted with the same specifications as lounges in the main building.
On September 3rd, the carrier opened a dedicated check-in area for its
business class passengers at Terminal 5.
