Dubai's Atlantis resort to open next week
The owners of Atlantis, The Palm, have confirmed that the attraction, which will be the first resort to open on the Palm Jumeirah island in Dubai, will be open for business in just over a week.
Holidaymakers in the United Arab Emirates will be able to visit Atlantis from September 24th.
The destination resort boasts some 1,539 rooms and combines the features of a luxury hotel with the attributes of a major tourist attraction.
Located on the crescent of the Palm Jumeirah island, Atlantis is described as a "fully integrated entertainment resort" that will "redefine tourism in Dubai".
Its attractions include Aquaventure, which is the biggest water park in the Middle East, an open-air marine habitat, a long stretch of beach, luxury boutiques, four celebrity chef restaurants, a spa and a nightclub.
Visitors can access the resort via a six-lane underwater vehicle tunnel or on a monorail that travels through the centre of the Palm Jumeirah directly to Atlantis.
