American Airlines serves up Caribbean flavours
American Airlines has announced that first and business class passengers on its Caribbean flights will soon be enjoying a range of local flavours with its new inflight meals.
From this week, the airline will serve up Caribbean delicacies to its premium passengers on a rotating monthly basis.
American Airlines teamed up with Cindy Hutson of popular Florida restaurant Ortanique on the Mile to develop the menus.
Lauri Curtis, the carrier's vice president of onboard service, said: "We are excited to offer our premium class customers refreshed menu options created in collaboration with Cindy Hutson, as these new additions fulfill the commitment of American Airlines commitment to enhance the travel experience for our customers."
The options that passengers will be able to enjoy on American Airlines' Caribbean flights include east Indian chicken, pork tenderloin with spices and sweet potato, guava barbecue salmon and east Indian pork.
American Airlines flies to a number of destinations in the Caribbean, including Aruba, Barbados and Montego Bay.
