Brits planning
skiing holidays this winter can attend a number of informative talks at destinations around the UK in October and November.
The 'prepare for snow' talks have been arranged by the Ski Club of Great Britain and will be held at branches of sports retailer Snow+Rock.
Visitors will be able to improve their knowledge of subjects ranging from avalanche awareness to skiing technique.
The first talk will be in the Chill Factore Snow+Rock store in
Manchester on October 28th, where top instructor Warren Smith will talk about fitness and the physiological aspects of skiing.
Mr Smith will host the same talk in the Kensington store in
London on October 29th before the Henry's Avalanche Talk group holds safety discussions in Port Solent (November 6th), London (November 11th) and Bristol (November 12th).
France is one of the leading ski destinations for Brits, boasting resorts such as Val d'Isere and Chamonix that can be reached via flights to
Geneva,
Grenoble,
Lyon and other locations.
