The company that offers people the opportunity to climb to the top of
Sydney Harbour Bridge has celebrated its ten-year anniversary.
BridgeClimb Sydney marked the milestone on October 1st with 137 climbers each carrying a flag onto the arch of the bridge to represent the nationalities of all the people that have scaled the landmark in the past decade.
Since October 1998, the
Sydney Harbour Bridge, which is one of the most famous tourist attractions in
Australia, has been ascended by more than 2.2 million people.
Paul Cave, the company's founder and chairman, said: "We are delighted to be celebrating BridgeClimb's tenth anniversary and extremely proud to be able to share this unforgettable experience with Australians and visitors from all over the world.
"It's been very rewarding to witness the business evolve over the past ten years and I look forward to seeing how we can further develop our experiences and keep giving back to the community in the future."
BridgeClimb offers dawn, day, twilight and night climbs to all people in good health over the age of ten.
Earlier this year, the company launched a wedding package offering couples the chance to tie the knot at the summit of the bridge.
