Bmi has announced a codeshare agreement with
Brussels Airlines which it claims will benefit
business class passengers.
The deal, set to begin on October 26th, will extend
bmi flights to Brussels to four gateways in the UK -
Newcastle Airport,
Manchester Airport,
Birmingham Airport and
Bristol Airport.
While bookable through bmi, these services will be operated by Brussels Airlines and will be additional to the British airline's existing flights to
Belgium's capital from
Heathrow Airport,
Edinburgh Airport,
East Midlands Airport and
Leeds Bradford Airport.
Bmi managing director Peter Spencer said: "This agreement with Brussels Airlines gives UK passengers travelling to Brussels a great deal more flexibility when planning their journey.
"Business is booming in the European capital and bmi passengers will now have the opportunity to fly to Brussels from regional airports across the UK."
The codeshare agreement will provide bmi passengers with a total of 28 non-stop flights to
Brussels every weekday from eight cities in the UK and more than 160 services to the city each week.
