Stockholm Arlanda Airport will soon boast the world's first hostel based inside a real jumbo jet.
The so-called Jumbo Hostel will begin welcoming guests in December and also serve as a new landmark for people flying to
Sweden.
Until this year, the Boeing 747-200 was held at a stand inside
Stockholm Arlanda Airport after it retired from
charter flight service in 2002.
In August, the plane was towed to its new location at the airport entrance and work began to turn it into a hostel.
With flights to 167 destinations around the world,
Stockholm Arlanda is Sweden's largest airport and an important connecting hub for people travelling in the Scandinavia region.
A number of airlines offer regular flights to the Swedish capital, including
SAS,
British Airways and
KLM.
