It may be known as one of the world's leading luxury holiday destinations, but
Dubai also offers options for people who are travelling on a budget, according to the department for tourism and commerce marketing (DTCM).
The range of luxury options in
Dubai is broad, with some of the
world's best hotels located in the emirate, such as the Burj Al Arab and Atlantis the Palm.
However, at the more affordable end of the scale there are options including a Premier Inn, three Holiday Inn Express hotels and two Ibis hotels.
Holidaymakers trying to stick to a budget can also head to locations such as the Dubai Outlet Mall, which offers affordable shopping as well as plenty of cheap restaurants.
Ian Scott, UK and Ireland director of the DTCM, said: "Easily accessible, with year-round sunshine and a superb quality of experience, Dubai can offer the affordable solution for holidaymakers seeking a longer-haul break.
"People may be taking fewer holidays, however they will be looking to expect the best from their travel experiences, and excellence is what we have come to expect from Dubai's offering."
Dubai is growing in popularity as a holiday destination, with a 9.2 per cent increase recorded in visitors to the
United Arab Emirates hotspot in the first three quarters of 2008.
