United Airlines launches fast-track options
United Airlines has announced the launch of Premier Line, a new fast-track service offering priority check-in, security and boarding lanes for passengers.
For prices starting at $25 (£17), customers on direct or connecting flights can bypass queues at main airport checkpoints.
United Airlines is currently offering the Premier Line service at its five US hubs in Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Washington and San Francisco, as well as other nine other destinations including Boston, New York and Seattle.
Passengers can pay for priority access during online check-in or at one of the airport kiosks that the airline plans to install soon.
Dennis Cary, United Airlines' senior vice president and chief customer officer, said: "When we asked our customers what travel services are most important to them, they told us that access to priority lines was something they value highly.
"Premier Line provides convenient access to fast-track lines and is another choice for our customers to customise their own travel experience."
United Airlines and its subsidiaries operate nearly 3,000 daily flights to more than 200 domestic and international destinations.
