Eastern Airways boosted the range of available flights from north-east England this week when it launched new
flights from Newcastle Airport to Oslo.
The regional carrier began its first ever link to the Norwegian capital on January 12th.
Available every weekday, the flight operates via a connection at
Aberdeen Airport and is targeted at
business customers, tourists and winter sports travellers.
Eastern Airways director Graeme Ross said the service will strengthen business links between
Norway and the
UK.
He added: "Our frequent service to Aberdeen from Newcastle has developed over the years providing businesses, including the energy sector, with a vital transport link.
"In addition to this and our first Norwegian link to Stavanger, we are now offering a connecting service to the country's largest city."
Chris Sanders, head of aviation development at Newcastle Airport, said he was "delighted" that Eastern Airways was making it easier to travel between Newcastle and Oslo.
