New film to showcase South Australia
Filming has recently concluded on a new film that will showcase some of the stunning landscapes and locations found in South Australia.
The Boys Are Back, which had a budget of AU$18.5 million (£8.2 million) and stars the Academy Award-nominated actor Clive Owen, shot in more than 33 destinations around the state.
Locations that people will see in the movie include the beaches of the Fleurieu peninsula and the vineyards of the Adelaide Hills.
According to the South Australia tourist board, Owen gave an interview to the Adelaide Advertiser in which he described the filming locations as "some of the most stunning places I've ever seen in my life".
The film represents the first time that Australian director Scott Hicks has worked in South Australia since he made the Oscar-winning film Shine in 1996.
A number of popular and successful movies have been made in the region, including the Mel Gibson films Mad Max and Gallipoli, Holy Smoke starring Kate Winslet and Peter Weir's Picnic at Hanging Rock.
