More flights to Australia with Emirates
Travellers looking for flights to Australia can now make use of new connections provided by Emirates.
The airline announced this month that it was launching a second daily service to Brisbane and a third daily flight to Melbourne from Dubai with immediate effect.
Emirates now operates 63 non-stop flights to four gateways in Australia - Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth.
The extra services to Melbourne and Brisbane are operated by Airbus A340 aircraft offering 12 first class suites, 42 seats in business class and space for 204 passengers in economy.
Richard Vaughan, the airline's senior vice-president of commercial operations in east Asia and Australasia, said: "Emirates is delighted to commence extra services and provide much needed capacity on the Melbourne and Brisbane routes.
"Our flights will assist in increasing inbound tourist arrivals and support the Australian government's plans of developing these two cities as leading centres for tourism."
At the beginning of February, Emirates operated the world's first commercial A380 service from Dubai to Australia and New Zealand.
