Qantas to launch more A380 flights to UK
Qantas has announced that it will extend its range of A380 flights in June this year, with extra services from Australia to the UK and the US.
From June 7th, travellers will be able to make use of five weekly A380 flights from London to Sydney, with two extra services on Thursdays and Sundays.
Qantas will also boost its number of flights from Australia to Los Angeles to six on June 9th when it launches an extra connection from Sydney.
John Borghetti, the airline's executive general manager, said that customer feedback on the A380 had been extremely positive.
"The response from our customers has reaffirmed what we set out to achieve with the aircraft to create a designer aircraft which exceeded our customers' expectations when it comes to comfort and functionality," he said.
Qantas will receive its fourth Airbus A380 in May and expects to take delivery of a further three before the end of the year.
On January 14th this year, the airline became the first to fly the A380 on a commercial service to San Francisco.
