Whale season to begin in Western Australia
Holidaymakers visiting the state of Western Australia will soon be offered the chance to take part in an unforgettable activity as the region's whale season begins.
From late March until June visitors to the state will be able to go diving with the world's biggest fish the whale shark.
The giant animal, which can grow to up to 18 metres in length and weigh some 30 tonnes, visits the waters off the western coast of Australia to bask and feed on krill.
Adventurous travellers can visit one of the dive centres in Coral Bay or Exmouth to join an expedition, while those who would prefer a more relaxing experience can take to the water on a glass-bottom boat.
Kununurra in Western Australia's Kimberley region will prove a popular destination among holidaymakers from May 8th to 24th as it hosts the Ord Valley Muster festival.
This event features a range of entertainment and activities, from cowboy rodeos and motocross races to concerts on the banks of the Ord river and street parties.
Western Australia can be reached by taking flights to Perth, the state capital, which are available with airlines including Qantas and Emirates.
