East Midlands Airport will be showcasing its range of summer destinations at a travel show at the Birmingham NEC this weekend.
The airport will be promoting its new connections to
India, which will be opened up when
bmi launches
flights to Brussels on every day except Saturday.
Once they are in
Brussels, travellers can access connections to
Chennai,
Bangalore,
Delhi and
Mumbai.
There will also be new flights to
Almeria and
Menorca with
bmibaby and a new service to
Oslo via
Aberdeen with
Eastern Airways.
Caroline Plant, marketing director of East Midlands Airport, said: "We are delighted to be exhibiting at one of the most high-profile travel shows and are excited about the great routes and offers we have in store for our customers in 2009.
"As well as the welcomed addition of the popular Mediterranean routes of Almeria and Mahon, we are pleased to be extending our long haul offering with our new regular connection to India."
The airport achieved a record year in 2008, with more than 5.6 million passengers.
